The Kalimotxo

My new favourite summer time drink: The Kalimotxo (or Calimocho). Make note not to confuse the name with the popular music song "Calle Ocho" by Pitbull.

They're very different. One is half red wine, half coca cola. The other is...well, it is what it is. Somewhat catchy, but not much more.

I enjoy red wine, but I find it a little heavy and warm for the summer. Mixed with ice and coca cola?

Perfection.

Fill a tall glass with ice.


 Fill half way with red wine.


Top it off the second half with Coca Cola.


Kick back and enjoy.

  1. I'm not much of a wine drinker, and even when I do indulge it's usually a white wine, but I can't imagine what that would taste like - there's just something about it that scares me off.

    But it's that good, huh?
